Who we are
This website, gofate.org, is run by Fighting Against The Expectation, Inc. (F.A.T.E.). We are a Texas nonprofit and an IRS 501(c)(3) public charity. Our EIN is 33-4971704.
What our forms collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. Our two forms ask for:
- Your name and email address. These are required so we can reply to you.
- Your phone number. This is optional.
- On the Get Help form: the kind of help you want, and any details you want to share.
- On the Volunteer form: the roles you are interested in, and your skills or the times you are free.
Telling us about a disability is always your choice
You never have to tell us about a disability. If you choose to share one, we use it only to understand your needs and to support you better. We do not share it with anyone outside F.A.T.E. without your permission, unless the law requires it. Saying no or leaving it out will never stop you from getting help from us.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam and bots. To do this check, Cloudflare may process technical details such as your IP address and browser information. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How we use your information
- To answer your message or request.
- To match you with our programs, mentors, or resources.
- To set up volunteer work if you sign up to help.
- To send you a receipt if you make a donation.
When you send a form, it comes to F.A.T.E. by email. Only F.A.T.E. staff and volunteers who need it to help you will see it.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with others for their marketing.
Donations and PayPal
When you give, you pay on PayPal's secure page. PayPal handles your payment details, such as your card or bank number. F.A.T.E. does not see or store your full card number. PayPal shares your name, email, gift amount, and date with us so we can thank you and send your receipt. You can read PayPal's privacy statement.
Keeping your information safe
Our website uses a secure connection (HTTPS). We limit who can see the information you send. No website or email system is perfectly safe, but we work hard to protect what you share.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, fix, or delete the information you sent us. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Just email us and we will help.
Children
Our website is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child sent us information, please email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this page
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
